Any scene. ***Why We No Longer Offer Purchasing Through Amazon.com*** Dixie Tucker Magazine is an independently published magazine for free thinkers, freaks, and artists who work outside the system. As time went on, we found it difficult to reconcile a DIY attitude with a corporate operation such as amazon.com. The other problem was unbalanced representation. Many bands we feature here do not have major distribution, and thus were left out of the whole 'shop amazon' thing. Creativity is not limited to big chain stores or what is played on the radio, as we prove time and again through the groups we feature. It didn't seem right to foist music offered through amazon.com and leave out bands working just as hard, who believe just as much in the music they play simply because they didn't have major label support.
